Holy Trinity Hurstpierpoint | Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care Team

People want someone to visit them for all sorts of reasons. They might be just out of hospital and want help with practical things while they get their strength back. Or they might feel that it would be good to have someone to talk to. It can be helpful to have someone who will listen who isn’t a close friend or family member.

Hurstpierpoint has set up a pastoral care team. It’s a rather grand name for people who are willing to come and visit, and listen.

The team was set up by Holy Trinity Church, and all the visitors have been trained. They will visit people whether they go to church or not. They won’t have the answers to everyone’s problems, but they will know someone who can help in most situations.

Is there anyone you know in the village that you think would be pleased to have a visitor? Do please, think about the people you know, and if you feel that they might want someone to visit, have a word with them, and contact us.
